What is High Functioning Anxiety?

High functioning anxiety is a hidden struggle, where you appear to be managing well at work or socially, yet internally, you’re overwhelmed by a constant stream of anxious thoughts and feelings.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The programme includes 12 weekly sessions followed by 6 fortnightly sessions.

    Sessions will commence for approximately 60-75 minutes.

    All sessions are to be taken over a period of 28 weeks. Any sessions remaining after the 28 week duration will be forfeited.

    Upon booking we will arrange a regular appointment time this can either be virtually via Zoom (a link will be sent to you) or face to face.

  • I get asked this question quite a lot and the answer is that in my experience clients see dramatic long lasting shifts when the fully commit to the process inside and outside of the process consistency will help you to get in to a good reflective flow.

    Unfortunately dipping in out of therapy/ coaching can lead to feelings of confusion and inconsistency. An hour a week is actually not that much time and an hour a fortnight or a month is even less time. 

    Think about all of the thoughts, feelings and experiences that you have in a week and now double it there is a lot to talk about.

    In my experience clients often leave fortnightly or monthly sessions thinking that they should’ve talked about this or that but there just wasn’t enough time.

  • Please book a discovery call where we can have 20-30 minute chat about where you are, what is currently affecting you and where you would like to be. I will then interject and explain how I can support you to move forwards.

    During the discovery we will provisionally book a day and time for your first session, and you will be sent a payment link to secure your booking.

    Please note that I only work with 18 clients at a time so that I can give special attention to each of my clients therefore availability is limited.

  • Each session will start with a review of your week to see if there is anything specific from that week that you would like to work on.

    The session will be directed by you; I will listen and use appropriate techniques to support your understanding and processing.

    Some sessions may be more talking and other sessions may include more practical techniques each session will be unique to your needs.

    At the end of each session, you may be given a task or something to reflect on. 

    The most important thing is to remember that in any therapy or coaching around 30% of work is done in the session but 70% of work is done outside the session in your everyday life.

    That is why therapy or coaching is not a quick fix; it requires commitment and an open mind to see change.

  • No, you will receive exactly the same experience this decision will be based on your personal preference and location. 

    Working with clients virtually has given me the opportunity to work with clients both nationally and internationally and none of my virtual clients have expressed that they feel like something is missing.

    Working together virtually enables you to fit your sessions in to your day to day life without the need to take in to account additional travelling time or we can log on from where ever you are on your lunch break or in between your commitments it really is a personal choice for your convenience.

  • Payments will be made via Stripe a secure payment platform.

    A non refundable deposit of the first month’s payment will be taken upon booking to secure the appointment time.

    A recurring payment will then be set up for remaining 2/5 months. The payment will be taken on the same date each month.

    Payments made in full will receive a discounted rate.

    Once your programme starts no refunds will be given as you are committing to 3/6 monthly payments.

  • I have a 48-hour notice of cancellation window if the client gives less than 48 hours’ notice and the session cannot be rescheduled during the same week the client will forfeit the session.

    I fully understand that life happens and sometimes things are out of our control; however, if you need to cancel a session for any reason, please let me know with as much notice as possible and I will reschedule your appointment.

  • Some clients choose to continue their sessions and work with me for longer than six months. 

    Some clients choose to book monthly check ins to keep themselves accountable and have time for personal reflection.

    It’s entirely up to how you wish to continue my philosophy is that although I’d love to see you forever my aim is to give you the tools to be able to navigate the ups and downs of life on your own, but I am always just an email away for support.
